Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether he intends to extend funding for the Sustrans' Active School Travel Programme into the 2022/23 academic year.

Answer:

Officials are currently considering options for the Active School Travel Programme along with the Public Health Agency and I expect to receive an update imminently.

I fully support the benefits of the Programme in setting early habits of active travel in young people that will contribute into healthy outcomes in their adult lives.
