Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail plans for the implementation of Clause 22 of the Climate Change Act (Northern Ireland) 2022.

Answer:

As outlined in my previous answer to you on this topic, the introduction of the Climate Change Act (NI) 2022 and the requirement for all Departments to set out policies and proposals within climate action plans to meet the 2050 net zero targets presents us with a real opportunity to address the climate emergency.

My Department is working collaboratively with DAERA in the development of the sectoral plans required by the Act including determining how the specific measures contained in Clause 22 can be met.
