Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail the number of facilities offering respite care for adults with learning disabilities in each constituency.

Answer:

Remobilisation of adult daycare and respite is coordinated at a regional level to ensure consistency across all 5 Trusts. Data on day care, short breaks and transport is provided on the Department’s website and is updated on a monthly basis.

To improve the level of provision my officials have worked with the Public Health Agency to develop a Pathway for remobilisation and issue updated public health guidance, which will enable Trusts to better balance Covid-19 considerations with wider risks to the mental health and wellbeing of service users, families and carers.
