Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on the amalgamation of Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College, including (i) the financial, developmental and operational role of Ulster University; (ii) progress on funding; (iii) what further liaison there has been with parents and the existing schools; and (iv) the anticipated timeline for (a) location; (b) planning; (c) development; (d) construction; and (e) operation.

Answer:

The Education Authority (EA) published five linked Development Proposals (DPs 676-680) relating to an area solution for post-primary provision in the Causeway area on 9 March 2022. The statutory two-month objection period concluded on 23 May 2022.

A submission containing all pertinent information on the proposals will be presented to me for my decision in due course.
