To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for an update on the review of legislation in relation to byelaws governing Crawfordsburn Country Park and the surrounding areas, following feedback from Ards and North Down Borough Council.

Answer:

I can confirm that my officials are currently reviewing the content of feedback from Ards and North Down Borough Council and have sought legal advice from the Departmental Solicitor’s Office (DSO). On full consideration of this advice, my Department will make further contact with the council in relation to the byelaws in place which cover Crawfordsburn Country Park and surrounding areas.
