Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities for her assessment of the adequacy of the Northern Ireland Strategic Migration Partnership's role of promoting partnership between the Home Office and devolved administrations, with reference to the Independent Chief Inspector of Borders & Immigration: An inspection of contingency asylum accommodation report.

Answer:

Issues around immigration and asylum seekers, are excepted matters and do not fall within my Department’s remit.

The Executive Office (TEO) has strategic responsibility for refugees and asylum seekers and coordinate our regional response with the Home Office.

The Strategic Migration Partnership is managed by TEO.
