Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities (i) for her assessment of the Neighbourhood Renewal funding system; and (ii) to detail any plans she has to review this system.

Answer:

Neighbourhood Renewal Programme and investment remains the Executive’s main place based strategy to target those communities suffering the highest levels of deprivation.

In recognition of the value of the services supported through the programme, I have protected the NR revenue budget since taking office in 2020.

The review of the existing ‘People and Place - a strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal’ is currently underway with an inclusive co-design approach
