Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities how many households are spending 30 per cent or more of their income on housing costs.

Answer:

In the financial year 2019/20, it was estimated that 8% of households had weekly housing costs that accounted for 30% or more of weekly household income. This estimate is based on data from the annual Family Resources Survey (FRS). The next edition of the FRS, covering the survey year of 2020/21 is due to be released in Autumn 2022.
