Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 16819/17-22, to provide an update on the feasibility of providing parklets in Ballyclare.

Answer:

Parklets are council led initiatives, in which my Department acts as a consultee and facilitator. It is the responsibility of the respective council to consider the feasibility of and gauge the level of local stakeholder support for each parklet application. The Department will then be consulted on the proposal and assist with their implementation, where practicable.

To date my Department has not received any applications for the installation of parklets from Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
