To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 1661/22-27, when he requested legal advice on the implications of the Abortion (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2022 and updated Directions; and when he expects to receive a legal opinion.

Answer:

My Department requested legal advice regarding the implications of the Abortion Regulations 2022 and the Abortion Services Directions 2022 between 20 May 2022 and 7 June 2022. My Department subsequently received advice which was under consideration.
