Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance whether his Department plans to extend the current rates holiday for small businesses.

Answer:
There are no plans to extend the rates holiday for small businesses given that it is not possible to bring forward any additional or extended rates support in the absence of an Executive.
However, I have extended the Small Business Rate Relief scheme into the 2022/23 rating year, which will directly benefit 29,000 small businesses, and I have frozen the regional rate for business ratepayers for the second year in a row. This is in addition to the £50 million of support delivered through the rates holiday period for this year.
