To ask the Minister for Communities what recent steps her Department has taken to address sexual harassment in the hospitality sector.

Answer:

My Department has responsibility for legislation on gender discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace, but these provisions are not specific to the hospitality sector and compliance with the legislation is a matter for individual organisations.

Investigations of sexual harassment complaints in the workplace fall to industrial tribunals or the Equality Commission.
