To ask the Minister of Finance why the proposed cost for the North-South Glider route is in excess, as of May 2022, of the initially proposed cost at the time of the Belfast City Deal.

Answer:

The initial cost estimate, submitted to Belfast Region City Deal in September 2018, was based on very early assumptions. This estimate was subsequently revised during the development of the interim Outline Business Case. The estimate is currently being reviewed as part of the finalisation of the final Outline Business Case.
