To ask the Minister for the Economy whether his Department has considered taking steps to introduce a revenue cap on inframarginal electricity producers with a view to decoupling electricity prices from gas prices.

Answer:

My Department is working with relevant stakeholders, including the Utility Regulator, to explore all available options to mitigate the impact of increased energy prices on consumers.
