To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs what engagement he has had with local Councils in relation to animal welfare issues caused by unexpected firework noise and pollution.

Answer:

My Department engages regularly with local councils in relation to matters of animal welfare. This provides an opportunity for discussion on any issues that may arise from the use of fireworks.
