To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail the legislation, that falls under his Department’s remit, that will be subject to revocation or reform under the proposed Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill.

Answer:

The Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill was introduced on 22 September 2022.

Officials are assessing the legislation that may fall under my Department’s remit that will be subject to revocation or reform under the Bill. Initial estimates are that over 600 separate pieces of legislation could be affected by the Bill and the exercise will therefore take some time to complete but I can assure the Member that it is being conducted as expeditiously as possible.
