Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities what discussions she has had with the Chancellor of the Exchequer on ensuring households in Northern Ireland can access financial support to improve (i) insulation; and (ii) the energy efficiency of houses.

Answer:

My Department continues to deliver the Affordable Warmth Scheme which is targeted at low income households most at risk of fuel poverty in the owner occupied and private rented sectors. This Scheme provides grant aid to improve energy efficiency measures within a property including loft and cavity wall insulation, heating and windows replacement.

My officials continue to engage with DfE officials who are leading on plans for the delivery of a multi-year energy efficiency programme.
