Question: To ask the Minister for Communities (i) why the Workable programme is currently capped for people with disabilities; (ii) how many people have completed the Workable programme and secured a permanent job; and (iii) how many have dropped out in each of the last 10 years.
Answer:
The Workable programme is not capped for people with disabilities. The 3 organisations that deliver the programme on behalf of my Department do so ensuring they remain within their respective annual funding allocation. Currently 703 people with disabilities are being supported by the programme. The Workable database contains data for the last 7 years therefore the Department cannot provide information for the last 10 years. 745 people left the Workable programme in the last 7 years.
