Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities what discussions her Department has had with the Department of Health on preventing cold-related deaths this winter.

Answer:

Officials have been working with colleagues in the Department of Health and other Departments to put in place measures to address this issue in the coming months. This includes preparations for the severe weather working in conjunction with Housing Executive to support homeless people who are vulnerable to the impact of cold weather through their Emergency 3 Tier Incident Plan which covers incidents such as severe weather.
