To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs on what date will the final version of the George Best Belfast City Airport Environmental Noise Directive Round 3 Action Plan 2019-24 be published.

Answer:

Competent Authorities have a duty to draw up, review and revise action plans under the Environmental Noise Regulations 2006.

I can advise that in compliance with these noise regulations George Best Belfast City Airport has already submitted an Action Plan to my department which has been independently appraised by an external contractor. My officials have and continue to work and engage with senior airport officials to agree this plan which once finalised will be published.
