To ask the Minister for Infrastructure how his Department ensures that Translink conducts meaningful engagement regarding significant projects in local communities.

Answer:

I can assure you that both my Department and Translink places considerable importance on engagement with a broad range of stakeholders in relation to all infrastructure projects and works in partnership with a number of external agencies to help deliver bespoke engagement campaigns aimed to specifically maximise engagement and awareness, while carefully considering the responsibilities Translink has to deliver safe, effective public transport. Where there are instances that Translink could improve in this area, constructive feedback is always welcomed to ensure we can continue to deliver the best services possible to our citizens.
