Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on work undertaken following his predecessor's announcement in January 2022 to extend the Concessionary Fares Scheme.

Answer:

I understand the value that people place on concessionary fares and can see the benefit of extending free travel to those who previously received a half fare concession and making concessionary fares available on a wider range of public transport service.

Officials are continuing to work on business cases to consider the extensions and have kept me fully informed of progress during the development process.
