Question:
To ask the Minister of Education why the delivery of a System Evaluation Framework has been delayed.

Answer:

Key Area 3 of the "A Fair Start" report relates to "Ensuring relevance and appropriateness of Curriculum and Assessment". Action (i) within Key Area 3 states "DE should progress its work to put in place a System Evaluation Framework by September 2022.

Due to an unforeseen staffing issue there was a short delay to work on this action getting underway. Delivery of the prototype is now scheduled for end December 2022 with the final report due by end of March 2023.
