To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether there are plans to include greater flexibility in the procedures to obtain permissions for the installation of cycling infrastructure on carriageways by external bodies.

Answer:

The provision of cycling infrastructure on the public road network by external bodies can be facilitated through the Planning process, and there are no plans to change this approach.
