Question:
To ask the Minister of Health how his Department promotes the Spring Social Prescribing Project to GP’s and other health professionals to encourage referrals.

Answer:

The Department and previously the Health & Social Care Board provided opportunities for the SPRING project co-ordinators to deliver presentations about their work to Integrated Care Partnerships (ICPs) across Northern Ireland in order to raise awareness and to encourage referrals.

My Department will continue to work with stakeholders including other Departments and local councils through the Regional Social Prescribing Development Board to support the development of social prescribing services in NI.
