Question:
To ask the Minister of Justice whether she has any plans to streamline the process for divorce in Northern Ireland, comparable with other regions of the UK.

Answer:
Responsibility for the legislation relating to divorce in Northern Ireland sits with the Minister of Finance.
Under the NI Courts and Tribunals Service (NICTS) modernisation plans, NICTS will undertake the development and delivery of a new core technology platform for courts and tribunals and a web portal for use by citizens and the legal profession. This will consist of the development of a range of new and enhanced online services, including divorce.
