To ask the Minister for Infrastructure how social value is being incorporated into contracts for parking enforcement.

Answer:

The current parking enforcement contract does not include Social Value clauses as it was awarded in November 2012, prior to this being a contract issue. You will be interested to know that my Department is in the process of procuring a new parking enforcement contract which will include Social Value clauses, as from 1 June 2022 Procurement Policy requires that tenders must include a minimum of 10% of the total award criteria to score Social Value.
