To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to outline the timeline for work on the delivery strategy resulting from the York Street Interchange Placemaking and Active Travel Review.

Answer:

I remain committed to the delivery of the strategically important York Street Interchange scheme and the wider benefits it presents.

On 11 October 2022 I published the report on the Placemaking and Active Travel Review for the scheme. This has identified a number of potential options to improve placemaking and active travel provision as part of the project. Further work is required to develop these options and consider factors relating to their potential implementation, including how they could be delivered. Importantly, this will include further engagement with key stakeholders. This work is likely to take until early 2023 to complete and will inform the next steps for the project.
