Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether her Department is responsible for agreeing the pay settlement for Northern Ireland Housing Executive employees.

Answer:

My Department has no role in the negotiation or agreement of the pay settlement for Housing Executive employees. The pay settlement for Housing Executive workers is agreed at U.K. Level through collective bargaining arrangements.

These are wholly matters for the Housing Executive, TUS and its employees. I will, in line with DoF guidance, need to approve the pay award once an agreed settlement has been reached.
