To ask the Minister of Education (i) for her assessment of the interim report of the Independent Review of Education; and (ii) whether the interim report contains recommendations that are actionable now.

Answer:

I welcome the Independent Review of Education panel’s Interim Report and am pleased that the panel has made progress. I am aware they have carried out extensive engagement with stakeholders and I look forward to considering the Final Report in due course.

This Interim Report sets out the work undertaken by the Panel and the key themes identified for further exploration and analysis. It does not include recommendations for action at this stage.
