Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance whether he will commission an independent review of the Rating System in Northern Ireland.

Answer:

There are no current plans for an independent review of the rating system. It would be a matter for any incoming Executive to decide if there was merit in any such review, or if this would constitute best use of resources in light of past work in this area, in particular the 2019 Business Rates Review which has already resulted in several policy changes.
