To ask the Minister of Finance for an update on the non-teaching staff pay and grading review business case.

ANSWER

The business case is progressing through scrutiny processes. Given the implications that the proposals will have for recurrent costs going forward, it is right and proper that DoF carries out the scrutiny required to allow it to make an informed decision regarding whether to give approval. My officials are working at pace with their colleagues in the Department of Education to progress this scrutiny and decision-making.
