Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on correspondence with HMRC in relation to the Tax-Free Childcare scheme, to take into account the call for the removal of the cap and extension of support for families.

Answer:

There has been no response from His Majesty’s Treasury to the previous Education Minister’s request that the Government contribution to Tax-Free Childcare be increased from 20% to 30%. I intend to pursue this issue further in the coming days.
