Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities what action is being taken to curtail the abandonment of emergency temporary accommodation.

Answer:

In respect of confirming occupancy of temporary accommodation, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive has advised that for those placed in hotels and B&B’s, accommodation providers send a daily email confirming those who stayed in their respective hotel/B&B for the previous day, and confirming any placements who vacated the previous day.

Additionally, there is regular contact between the customer placed in a hotel/B&B and their respective Housing Advisor.
