To ask the Minister of Education whether he intends to publish a review and evaluation of the Engage Programme.

Answer:

The Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) has evaluated both the Engage programme and the Engage II programme. The two reports are published on the ETI website as outlined below.

The Engage programme: An evaluation of the Department of Education’s Engage Programme in primary and post-primary schools during 2020-2021 (etini.gov.uk) Published December 2021.

The Engage II programme: ETI publishes an evaluation of the Department of Education’s Engage II Programme in schools, pre-school settings and EOTAS centres during 2021-2022 | Education Training Inspectorate (etini.gov.uk) Published May 2023.

I have no immediate plans for further evaluations.
