Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to outline (i) the estimated number of children vaccinated with the MMR vaccine; and (ii) the estimated proportion of parents who (a) have intentionally not had their child vaccinated; and (b) have not done so because they were not aware of appointments, had not been successfully contacted or were not registered with a doctor, in each of the last five years.

Answer:
The latest quarterly coverage (July-Sept 2023) reports Northern Ireland uptake of one dose of MMR at 2 years of 88.8% and 93.6% at 5 years of age. Uptake of two doses of MMR vaccine at 5 years is 85%. This information is available at Vaccination coverage | HSC Public Health Agency (hscni.net).
Information on the estimated proportion of parents who have intentionally not had their child vaccinated, have not done so because of unawareness of appointments, or because of lack of registration with a GP within the last five years is not held.
