Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure what plans he has to refurbish MOT test centres.

Answer:

The DVA is investing in new test centres at Hydebank and Mallusk, which are due to open in 2024 and 2025 respectively. Further investment in new test centres will be subject to further consideration and funding availability.

The DVA is also planning to replace existing vehicle testing equipment across its network of test centres, which is expected to take approximately two years. This equipment replacement programme will require limited enabling construction works to be carried out at each test centre.
