Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on the creation of a roadmap for an inclusive education system.

Answer:

Meeting the changing needs of our children and young people is a key priority for my department and one that requires us to refine a definition of inclusive education within the context of our education system.

The development of a roadmap for inclusion is now underway and a programme of engagement, with key educational stakeholders including political representatives, will take place over the coming months.

This will inform the development of an Inclusive Education policy and an implementation plan.
