Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the works to address the recurrent flooding on Bridge Road, Helen’s Bay.

Answer:

Following extensive investigation works at Bridge Road, Helen’s Bay, officials have determined that the recent flooding was attributed to damaged drainage within private property. A temporary solution was installed in December 2023 which has been successful in preventing a reoccurrence of flooding during recent prolonged periods of rain. My Department is currently taking forward a design of a new drainage system to substantively resolve the matter and it is hoped this will be delivered in the 2024/25 financial year.
