Question:
To ask the Minister of Health for an update on the creation of a care pathway for those living with facial palsy.

Answer:

A Facial Palsy Regional Planning Group was established in September 2023. The group has agreed an action plan which will lead to putting in place local and regional pathways. A draft pathway has been developed for local services and is currently with group members for feedback. A business case will then be developed to secure funds to commission a regional pathway for those requiring highly specialised services. This will be subject to securing the relevant funding within wider service pressures and priorities.
