Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure what consideration he has given to reviewing the planning decision made by Mid and East Antrim council to approve the oil terminal at Cloghan Point.

Answer:

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council notified my Department on 08 September 2023, as required by a notification direction previously issued by my Department, of its resolution to approve planning application LA02/2018/1145/F (Cloghan Point Oil Terminal). My Department is currently considering this notification, as well as a number of third party ‘call in’ requests, and when this consideration is complete I will then decide whether or not the application should be referred to my Department for determination.
