Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the timescale for the completion of the preliminary design for the (i) A49 Old Ballynahinch Road; and (ii) B6 Saintfield Road.

Answer:

My officials are considering a range of possible measures to improve road safety at these junctions and have recently completed traffic surveys to inform the design process. Further work to review the outcome of the traffic surveys will need to be undertaken before the preliminary design stage can be completed.
