To ask the Minister for Communities to detail his Department's plans to meet social housing need in the north Lurgan area.

Answer:

Housing need is generally addressed through the re-let of existing social housing accommodation (Stock turnover). Where the volume of re-lets is insufficient to meet housing need, then construction or acquisition of further (new) social housing is required.

The information you have requested regarding how social housing need will be met in North Lurgan, is an operational matter for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
