Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance when Phase Three of the energy efficiency uplifts will be implemented in 2024.

Answer:

My officials are currently analysing the responses received to the consultation on phase 2 of its programme of work in this area - the Department’s Discussion Document on energy efficiency and related aspects of the Building Regulations.

A departmental summary and response is planned for publication in Summer 2024, which will inform subsequent timings.

The complexity, scope and detail involved in this work means it is likely that completion of Phase 3 will be in 2025. I can assure you that this is a priority for my Department.
