Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the work of his Department to progress the Bangor Waterfront Development within the Belfast Region City Deal.

Answer:

My Officials are working in collaboration with colleagues in the Ards and North Down Borough Council to deliver the Bangor Waterfront Belfast Region City Deal project.

My Department has approved the Outline Business Case, and issued the Contract for Funding for the project in January 2023. Work is currently progressing well to appoint design teams and further develop the proposals to inform a Final Business Case. My Officials continue to work on the various City Deal Project-and-Programme Board governance structures to support and oversee the delivery of this transformational project.
