To ask the Minister for Infrastructure what consideration his Department has given to installing traffic lights at the junction of Seapark Road, Holywood, and the A2.

Answer:

The A2 is a strategic trunk road route that carries some 38,000 vehicles per day and is a priority for traffic progression. I am advised that there are currently no safety concerns at the junction of Seapark Road, Holywood with the A2. Due to these factors there are no current plans to install traffic signals at this junction.
