To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the pedestrianisation of Hill Street, Belfast.

Answer:

My Department proposes to pedestrianise Hill Street, Belfast between the junction of Hill Street and Gordon Street to Waring Street, with service access only to the local businesses. A one-way system from the north end of Hill Street and into Gordon Street will also be included as part of this scheme.

I can confirm that the informal consultation on the proposed pedestrianisation is planned for April 2024.
