Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail his Department's options for taking forward actions in relation to the Mobuoy site.

Answer:

My next step is to take forward a public consultation on the draft Optimum Remediation Strategy. This consultation will present remediation options across the site that together form the draft strategy.

Following consultation, responses will be considered, and NIEA will determine any necessary amendments to the draft strategy, which will then be presented for the next stages of scrutiny and approval.

A subsequent decision will be required for the adoption of the finalised strategy, which will inform a draft business case for remediation works subject to Department of Finance and Executive consideration.
