Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether he will commit to reallocating funding to ensure the delivery of all integrated school capital projects in the Fresh Start Programme.

Answer:

All Fresh Start projects in construction contract will be completed.

I have placed the 10 remaining former Fresh Start projects that are not yet in contract into my Department’s conventional major works programme to continue to advance in design and planning. The projects will proceed to construction when planning is complete and affordable within the wider education budget context.

All of the projects have been submitted as priority capital bids for 2024-25 to the Department of Finance and I trust all Executive parties will support this bid for capital funding.
