To ask the Minister of Education how many schools are below the minimum thresholds set out in the Sustainable Schools Policy.

Answer:

The table below details the number of schools that are currently falling below the minimum threshold of sustainable enrolment numbers (105 for rural and 140 for urban primary schools, and 500 for years 8-12 and 100 for post-16 post-primary schools) using verified census data for the 2022/23 academic year.
